Another Near-Side Sunday

Becca and Dr. K
Dr. K, Becca and I got an early start this morning, and wisely so; we're slated to be near 100 degrees again today.  It would have been a lot better out there had a breeze been present, but we felt almost nothing until the end of our trek when a slight puff of air whisked past us.  The sun disappeared behind a cloud only once briefly; and I do mean briefly--perhaps for twenty seconds.  The rest of the time we sweated and panted our way through our hike, though it never felt bad enough to give us real pause for thought.

Sunny, hot morning

Do not pass

Two separate bikers plying the same mountain terrain

Radiating warmth

They appear to be touching

Not getting any cooler

Allthorn

Ash-throated Flycatcher with catch

Bumblebee on a Desert Willow flower
