Another Rainy Desert Day

Ladder-backed Woodpecker
We knew a weather change was on the way because our local meteorologists told us a cold front was coming on Wednesday morning.  Although Becca and I did get sprinkled on for much of our extended trek we never got wet; and the wind didn't really pick up until after we got home.  We ran into JC and Olivia who were just starting off as we were heading back, and just after Becca got into the car our good buddy Jimmy pulled alongside in his truck.  He got out and came around to pet Becca, who was absolutely ecstatic to see him.  On our drive home the rain came down quite hard, though now, shortly before noon, it has stopped.

Amazing that the sky can look like this one way . . .

Despite this scene the weather did not clear this morning
