Influx of Cold Air

Under a cold, cloudy sky
I really had to bundle up this morning due to a powerful cold front that blew in last night.  The temperature when Becca and I started off was 28F, and there was little sun.  Fortunately the wind wasn't as bad as predicted it would be.  The sun came out periodically, but it didn't stay long enough to warm things up significantly.  Although there weren't a lot of outdoor enthusiasts in the desert west of the mountain we did run into two acquaintances, one of whom we spoke with for about fifteen minutes.  The other was a woman walking her German Shepherd who we see fairly often.  When I asked how she was doing, she said, "I'm cold."  The abrupt weather change from yesterday was definitely noticeable.

As cold as it was here this morning, we're lucky we're not living back east and especially in Russia with their sub-zero temps that freeze people's eyebrows.
