This and the next: Frio modeling yet another new halter |
Because Frio and I had to return home by 10 we did a shorter trek west of Tortugas Mountain. It was enough to discharge his battery by 1%, so he had plenty of juice left to roughhouse with Willow when we got back. In fact, they have played hard in the backyard several times now, and those won't be the last play times for the Dynamic Duo.
When we were on the final leg of our hike this morning we bumped into our pal, Jimmy, and he and I stood talking for about fifteen minutes; this was the first time Frio actually lay down in wait while the humans palavered. That's a good sign that he's not in a hurry to move along.
Got the exact same halter for Willow as well |

The great Frio Grande is one handsome lad. We are moving cattle tomorrow and he will be missed by everyone except the cattle. He is a very hard worker. Barlito and Travis will have to work harder without him.
Great photo of Frio looking up at you and smiling.
