Hump Day For Heelers

This and the next 3:  couldn't ID this one, which I thought might be a vervain

Standard morning hike today with Dr. K and the Heelers.  Encountered a woman running with her white standard poodle and, later, three women we've bumped into before on the long dirt road.

It wasn't as hot this morning as it's been in recent days, but the breeze could have been stronger which would have made conditions even more bearable.

We briefly explored an arroyo, stopping in a favorite shady spot to rest and water ourselves.  Then we headed back.
