We took a brief respite in said arroyo before heading back to our waiting CR-V. We saw no other outdoor enthusiasts in the desert, though there were a few walking through the neighborhoods.
The past couple of days have been pretty humid for early June, but today the atmosphere seems to have dried out. The lower humidity makes our evaporative cooler work more efficiently, and, at times, it's actually felt cold in our house. Even Frio and Willow notice the difference. A few minutes ago--after lunch--I let them out into the backyard and both lay down for a spell in the blazing sun.

I like the series of photos of the white-winged dove.
