Hot and Buggy, but not Muggy

Yellowing
Willow, Frio and I did some exploring in the desert northeast of the Tellbrook Arroyo this morning, and we paid a price for bushwhacking through other sandy arroyos:  flies pestered the hell out of us.  There was no escaping them; they were everywhere.  Fortunately we weren't out too long, primarily due to the pests.

Hiking back into the upper flatland via the long dirt road was hell; it seemed as if an army had trudged down the road and back.  Footing is already bad along that stretch, but today it was impossible.  I couldn't wait to get back to our CR-V; and, of course, it felt great to crank the air conditioning up for the short ride home.
