Cold Bad Wind

Long distant view of clouds blanketing the Organs
38F when we headed out this morning, felt like 32F because of a fierce wind.

As we started down the LDR-A arroyo Dr. K spotted the man and woman with Basset Hounds trekking along the ridge just to the east of Left Branch Arroyo.

Because we'd have a pretty close encounter with them down at the Tellbrook Arroyo we chose to bushwhack straight east to the Left Branch Arroyo.  That plan worked:  no meet-ups with noisy Bassets.

It felt plenty cold out there today, and things are only going to get worse; we're under a high wind warning through Wednesday night, and Doppler Dave from KVIA El Paso has predicted a high probability of snow for Wednesday.  Good thing we decided against heading up to the Sacramento Mountains today.
