The rain had tapered off by the time Research Associate Becca and I got on the trail this morning, but the skies still seemed ominous. Here the sun breaks through to highlight some small mountains in the middle ground.
As always, the Organ Mountains have a fierce countenance under the looming storm clouds.
If you click on the image at left to blow it up, you'll see a fuzzy UFO where the lines of the mountains intersect at left. I'm not sure what that is: bird, bug, speck on the lens?
Check out the rays of sunlight filtering down to the desert floor.
