Far ahead on the trail

Hawkish only insofar as we saw an immature Red-Tail Hawk hunting in the desert this morning.  Made me wish I had my other camera, but I often sacrifice quality for convenience when carrying photographic equipment on a hike.  Nevertheless, you get an idea of what this raptor looked like.
