Monte Vista Morning Meander

The Organ Mountains as seen from the east side of Tortugas Mountain
Dr. K, Becca and I did an extra long hike around Tortugas Mountain this morning.  We started from the Monte Vista side (east) and wrapped our way around the south and west sides of the mountain.  People were out enjoying the beautiful day, but we didn't encounter any.  We did encounter a large Golden Eagle we watched swoop down onto a rock on the mountain's east side.
