Elk and Other Critters

Young Mule Deer buck in our driveway
Lots of new critters made an appearance around these parts yesterday and today, including the young Mule Deer buck pictured in the first two photos.  When Becca and I went outside about 5:30 pm last night we spooked two deer browsing near the driveway.  Then this morning Dr. K and I counted about 20 elk cows browsing on our property.  I took a few photos of them through a window before sneaking outside to take some more pics of this herd of Rocky Mountain Elk.  After a hike on the Grand View Trail we returned home to discover a new addition to our neighbor's canine pack, a small puppy who proceeded to drive the adult dogs crazy.

Why are puppies so cute?

Not sure what breed this little critter is
