Elk Galore!

We saw a herd of elk again this morning (probably the same herd we saw a few days ago) browsing all over our property.  Unfortunately I had to photograph them through our windows because they were so close to the house; and the first pictures are poorly lit because the sun hadn't yet reached this area.  We stood watching the elk for at least half an hour, and, as you can see, Becca was quite interested in the sight.  I now have an answer to the question of whether elk eat yucca leaves; they most certainly do--as attested to by some of the images here.

Oh yeah--we did do a hike this morning

I love the photos of the elk chomping down on the yucca leaves. Quite a treat to be able to watch them this morning.

Wonder if those elk could have used a Coke to wash down the yucca leaves.
