High Country Weather

On the trail again
Dr. K, Becca and I hiked for about an hour-and-a-half on the Bridal Veil Falls Trail before heading up to Cloudcroft to dump garbage and buy some supplies for the cabin.  The weather couldn't have been better, high 40s and sunny while we trekked along at about 7,000 feet, then low 40s in Cloudcroft at 9,000 feet.  We've got to give props to the Family Dollar store up in the village; we were opposed to it being built, but it's actually a great convenience.  The store carries all the necessities at very reasonable prices, the workers are friendly and efficient, and the place never seems to be overly crowded.  Additionally the building itself is not an eye sore, and it has an unobtrusive parking lot.  No, I'm not an adman for Family Dollar. :)
