Saturday's Crowd

Don't walk through there
There were already lots of cars in the Sunset Area parking lot when Becca and I got there at about 7:45 a.m.  Can't blame people for wanting to get out on a splendid November day in the desert; we're heading for 79F today.  We encountered several hikers during our trek, but the most memorable was one with a woman with see frequently trekking with her young Beagle, Rosie.  This time the woman let the two dogs interact completely, and the canines really liked each other, each wagging a tail while getting better acquainted.  Afterward, Becca and I had an enjoyable hike into the outback where we ran into no one else.

Even though the desert is browner than it is in the summer, it still has so many interesting and unusual plants (and animals) to look at.
