Whining About Wind

Dust still in the air from last night's winds
I shortened our morning trek for two reasons today:  first, I had to go shopping at Target and Albertsons in order to restock staples for the ranch; and, second, I wanted to beat the wind which was supposed to make a return appearance in the later morning hours.  Becca and I managed to get in a nice hike before the gusts picked up, and I was able to do the morning shopping and get home prior to the sandblasting.  Now (about 2:20 p.m.) the wind is whipping like crazy.  Dust and sand are swirling in the desert air.

The wind is still going strong this afternoon, making the air dusty and dirty. This is the downside of living in the desert.
