Hurry Up and Wait

Headed for the high foothills
Becca and I hurried our hike up this morning so I could get home, shower and head out to Target and Albertson's for the weekly shopping trip.  The only problem was I couldn't take a shower because our water was shut off.  Utility workers were doing repair work on the water line between two neighborhood streets.  So I used the spare time to jump start the Jeep Commander (whose battery is nearly dead) with the battery in RAV4.  I parked the Jeep in the driveway, locked it and let it run for over thirty minutes.  During that time I rinsed off with the trickle of water available in our house, deciding to go to the stores in my "dirty," post-trek condition.  Fortunately, by the time I got back, the water was on again, and I was able to take a much-needed shower after putting groceries away.

Sounds like a pretty hectic morning, Packrat. Becca is lucky that she only has to worry about sniffing her favorite plants on the trail and making sure she gets her treats at the correct time of day.
