Absolute Sizzler

A very hot backyard
It was searingly hot when we got started a little late this morning on our daily desert hike.  Because of the temperature we cut the outing short.  Only when we were on our way back to the waiting CR-V did a light breeze pick up.

We saw a few other outdoor enthusiasts on the LDR, but they passed us on the long dirt road heading back to their vehicle as we were heading down LDR-A.

What we did see that disturbed us were the refrigerator and oven somebody had dumped right alongside the dirt road.  I guess it was less trouble to drive those things out into the desert and dump them than to dispose of them properly.  People really disgust me at times.

Some idiot(s) dumped a refrigerator and oven

I like the photos of the barrel cactus buds. We've been able to watch them slowly open during this past week.
