Bee or Not to Bee

This and the next 5:  Javelinas on and exiting our property (via the arroyo)
First batch of photos are of the Javelina family that visits our property daily; they drink water from the waterhole and eat mesquite beans.

The four of us got an early start on our morning hike today during which we trekked up to Second Arroyo and back.  We saw somebody at a great distance hiking between LDR and Tobosa, but that person was moving west away from us.  No sign of anybody else while we were out there.

When we pulled into our driveway upon return from the trek I immediately noticed what at first I thought was a beehive; turns out--after Dr. K researched it--the "hive" was really a swarm of honeybees temporarily having an orgy before moving on to a more permanent home.  We contacted Paseo del Norte Beekeepers, and I just now got a message that somebody from the organization is on their way here right now.
