Another Manic Labor Day Monday

Some are hard to see, but I count 23 White-winged Doves
Willow, Frio and I got an early start on our hike this morning.  Instead of heading up to First or Second Arroyo we crossed the Tellbrook Arroyo and then explored some of the minor arroyos southwest of Tortugas Mountain.

While we were taking a water break--both Heelers off lead--Willow, and then Frio, stood up as if they got wind of something approaching through the desert.  I quickly put them back on lead, but never saw anything that would have alerted them.

When we were headed back we saw a couple of people trekking up LDR toward the upper flatland.  I made the Heelers wait in a shady spot until the hikers had nearly crested the road not far from our CR-V; only then did we follow.
