Willow, Frio and I trekked up to Second Arroyo and back on a slightly cooler, humid morning. We saw nobody else out there.
The frustrating thing about this hike of late is the chewed up condition of the dirt road, which I've complained about in the recent past. It's gotten so bad, though, it seems as if we're slogging through six-inch-deep talcum powder, and, man, does that take a toll on the old knees and legs. Heelers don't seem bothered because of their four-paw drive.
I, for one, was really happy to climb back into the upper flatland and get to the waiting CR-V for the short ride home.
