Beneficial Wind

This & next:  Soaptree Yuccas
76F when we set off this morning, and the sun was beating down relentlessly.  Saving grace, though, was a strong wind that promoted evaporative cooling.

We did our regular route, stopping often for shade and water breaks.  Frio and Willow were determined to linger in the shady spots, but there wasn't enough shadow for Dr. K and me so we had to move things along.

Not many critters were stirring in the desert heat, but the omnipresent lizards were everywhere.  This is their kind of weather.
