Still Too Hot

Barrel Cactus
Even though it was 67F when Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I started off on our morning hike it felt hotter.  There was a breeze that had the promise of coolness, but never really delivered.

We did our usual route, and all the while I was thinking of the rattler the Heelers and I encountered in the neck of Right Branch Arroyo and hoping we wouldn't meet it or another of its ilk.  Fortunately we didn't.

The trek was a success in that I was able to get some decent photos and we all got good exercise in.

Nice images of our backyard flowers. Thanks to the recent rains, they're doing well.
