25 F when Dr. K, Willow and I began our morning hike. We followed our usual route through snow-covered flora, remnants of yesterday's 2.3 inches of the white stuff. It was beautiful out there.
We saw a runner heading south on LDR-A, a woman we've seen before; she used the upper flatland road to loop over to LDR, and then she proceeded to run north on that dirt road. She was the only outdoor enthusiast we spotted today.
Two things saved us from feeling brutally cold in the inclement weather: lack of wind and a brilliant sun.

Excellent images of the beautiful, snow-covered Organ mountains.
