Sunny and Cold

The long view
It was sunny when Dr. K, Willow and I set off on our morning hike, but unlike yesterday--when the temperature was also 25F--a persistent wind made conditions quite cold.

Nevertheless we followed the regular route, hoping at each turn that we'd get out of the wind; not to be, however.  We weren't the only nature enthusiasts trekking through the desert; when we started off we thought we saw the Basset people and their hounds bushwhacking westward far north of us.

After our hike--as is often the case on weekends--we took a long drive around several different neighborhoods before heading home.
