MLK Hike

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday, and the number of vehicles in the Sunset Parking lot west of Tortugas Mountain this morning indicated a lot of people had the day off.  Interestingly, though, Becca and I didn't run into anybody during our long hike into the outback west of the mountain.  As always we were searching for critters, and, with the exception of the beautiful Loggerhead Shrike pictured here, we saw none.
