Good, Long Sunday Hike

Becca and I took a long Sunday-morning hike on the east side of Tortugas Mounain, departing from the Monte Vista parking area, trekking two-thirds of the way around the mountain, doing some serious bushwhacking in order to photograph some nearly-fully bloomed yuccas before retracing our steps back to the car. Although there were a few other hikers out there this morning, we only came close to an encounter with two: a young man and young woman hiking with their two well-behaved Pitbulls.

JACQUELINE said...: The yukkas growing close to the Copa beachfront are now in bloom, ha ha. Beautiful spikes of creamy flowers. The plants aren't as large as the one's in your photos - maybe they don't like being so far from home. Today, once again, the desert photos are wonderful.; March 14, 2016 at 8:51 AM
