Making Up for Yesterday

Trailing Four O'Clock (Allionia incarnata)
I decided to extend our morning hike today because yesterday's trek was shortened due to errand running.  This decision was a bit of a mistake owing to the elevated humidity in our desert atmosphere.  Becca and I took sufficient shade and water breaks, however, and we enjoyed our outing even though the discomfort level was high.  Surprisingly there were plenty of other outdoor enthusiast on and about the mountain suffering the adverse conditions, too.
