Century Mark

This morning's moon
Becca and I got a really early start this morning in order to beat the heat again.  Today we're supposed to surpass the century mark for the first time:  101F (38C).  It's already 85F here at 10:41 a.m.  We were wise starting early because we didn't overheat much during our 90-minute trek, making sure to take frequent shade/water breaks.  Additionally there was a slight breeze that helped with evaporative cooling.  All things considered we had a very successful hike in the rapidly heating northern Chihuahuan Desert.

Glad it wasn't too hot for you and Becca. I really like the photo of the Mormon tea, ocotillo, and creosote plants.
