Another Rainy Desert Day

It was already sprinkling when Becca and I set off for the mountain this morning, though the rain wasn't supposed to start until 1:30 p.m.  Fortunately we didn't really get wet during our trek, just got spat upon a bit.  We enjoyed a fairly long gloomy day hike, during which we ran into nobody.  We did see a few other hearty outdoorspeople west of the mountain, but we never approached any of them close enough to exchange even a wave hello.  Have you ever noticed that you can wave to a friend or acquaintance across a vast distance, but you'd never consider doing that for a stranger.  This last just one of many significant insights I've had over the years. :D
