Much Better Morn

Becca about to bushwhack
The temperature was about the same (mid-60s) as yesterday when Becca and I set off this morning, but there was something of distinction missing:  the humidity.  Also there was a stiff breeze to help keep things comfortable; and comfortable it felt, even in the sun.

There were a few more outdoor enthusiasts on and about the mountain today, although we ran into only one jogger during our trek--not surprising since we bushwhacked quite a distance from any maintained trail.  Oddly, though, we didn't even hear any voices of people west of the mountain.  Just as well because Becca and I enjoy our solitude.

I think we're supposed to reach 100F tomorrow, perhaps only the second time we've hit the century mark so far this summer.  I'd just as soon avoid it for the rest of the hot season; that's if I had my druthers.
