Away in a Yucca Manger

In the upper flatlands
Although it was mostly overcast on our morning trek today it never felt cold due to the cloud cover and the absence of wind.

The four of us did a normal hike up to First Arroyo and back without spotting anybody else in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.

The golf club we came upon during our hike was a rather odd find in the desert, but we've seen a few golf balls out in the valley near the Tellbrook Arroyo.  Apparently some people (kids?) have been driving balls from the upper flatland to see how far they'll carry over the steep decline.

A long view
