Before the Temps Drop

This and the next:  same Soaptree from different perspectives
We were fortunate enough to get off early on our morning trek today before the wind was supposed to pick up and carry the next cold front into our region.  Nevertheless, the 35F start felt chilly enough for Dr. K and me; the Heelers don't seem to mind the conditions too much, although Willow will shiver a bit if she's lying in shadow.

We encountered the friendly woman and man couple we often see nowadays out there on the weekend.  And later, on our way back down LDR, we bumped into Mr. Big Hat, though we had no hat on and only a hood pulled up over his head.  He wasn't hiking with Mrs. Big Hat, so we didn't realize who he was until we saw his truck parked on the south side of Tellbrook when we reached the high flatland.

It was a good outing this morning, capped off by a short ride around a few "high class" neighborhoods in the hills west of the Organ Mountains.
