Biting Cold Wind

This and the next:  Willow and Frio
33F when we headed out this morning, 40F when we finished up, a cold, biting wind blowing nearly the entire trek.  Even Willow was shivering when we stopped for a water break in Second Arroyo.

The only other outdoor enthusiast we saw today was a young woman runner who didn't seem appropriately dressed for the weather; she had a bare midriff.

When I used to run, the season I disliked most was winter; sweating and being cold simultaneously was a big turnoff.  Of course those were the days before the advent of technologically advanced clothing for running in frigid weather.
