Time for a yucca part replacement
We got an early start today on a 30F-degree morning.  It felt a bit nippy, but there was no wind and abundant desert sunshine.  Made it up to First Arroyo and stopped in for a water break and a chance to take some photos.

On the way back, while we were headed up LDR, we saw two people coming down the slope with dogs.  It was the dirty Bassets we've encountered before, and we took a detour over to LDR-A so as not to meet up on the trail

One of the hounds took to barking at our dogs, and both Willow and Frio pulled hard trying to get over to the Bassets; but, of course, we didn't let them.  That was the only wrinkle in an otherwise good hike.

Those photos of the desert driftwood look kind of spooky.
