Colder Still

This & the next: Ladder-backed Woodpecker on a yucca stalk
It was 23F when we headed out this morning, and I'm guessing that the official low was below that--perhaps in the high teens.  Dr K, Willow, Frio and I were fortunate in that the sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky and there was no wind to speak of during our trek.

We headed up to Second Arroyo, popped inside for a water break, and then returned via LDR.  We saw no other outdoor enthusiasts during our hike, nor were there any vehicles parked in the lot at the corner of Tellbrook and Sonoma Ranch when we got back to the high flatland.
