Countdown to Winter

Early morning clouds
We hiked up to a ridge south of First Arroyo, climbed a hill alongside the arroyo and descended into it.  We spent some time there drinking water, resting and taking photographs.  And then we headed back.

It was a pleasantly warm morning that is supposed to top off at 74F.  We have a few more days of nice weather before an arctic cold front moves in to drop temperatures radically.  We've already got a forecast that calls for accumulating snow.

So we've got to enjoy these warm days before they come to an end beginning Saturday.  Lows are to be in the 19F to 22F range, with high just barely above freezing (32F).
