Faux Spring

Clouds at start
42F at the start of our hike today, but it felt much warmer.  The temperature rose fairly dramatically because we're headed for a high of 76F.  Both Dr. K and I wore lighter layers of outerwear, but Willow and Frio decided to wear their normal coats.

We trekked up to Second Arroyo, popped inside for water and a few photos, and then bushwhacked over to First Arroyo.  Exiting the arroyo we started back on LDR when Dr. K said, "Look!"  She was pointing to a pair of sunglasses in the dirt alongside the road.  We knew they were Jerry Garcia's because they had only one stem.  What we couldn't figure out was how they'd come to rest so far from where they'd been for months--namely on Jerry's yucca head.

We saw one guy descending LDR as we were heading north, but he turned westward into Tellbrook Arroyo and we never spotted him again.

I like those different photos of the morning moon. It's good that the yucca Jerry Garcia got his shades back.
