Taste of Spring

This and the next:  same Soaptree Yucca in First Arroyo
We trekked up to First Arroyo and back on a very pleasant morning in our section of the northern Chihuahuan Desert today; we're headed for a high of 74F.

As we were hiking back along LDR we spotted a lone hiker behind us headed in our direction; never caught up to us, though.

Found the infant's cap pictured below on LDR and hung it on a Creosote branch after photographing it; immediately imagined some kid being very disappointed by the loss

As we approached our CR-V we saw the man and woman runners who we frequently encounter on Saturdays in the desert.  We exchanged pleasantries before going separate ways--they for their run, and us for a long drive after a satisfying hike.

I like that last photo of the Soaptree Yucca branches. Here's hoping that the the baseball cap is found by its rightful owner.
