Bugged to Distraction

At the west side of LDR-A
The bugs were absolutely atrocious this morning as Willow, Frio and I hiked up to Second Arroyo and back.  We were constantly abused, and, as a result, had a hard time enjoying ourselves completely.  Nevertheless we soldiered on.

One phenomenon was worth appreciation:  butterflies were in abundance everywhere.  I have never seen so many in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.  Also, there are many different kinds of grasses that I've not seen before.

Other than bugs and butterflies we saw no other critters out there today.

The rest:  I think it's a Checkered White
