My plan was to take few photos this morning and share even fewer; however, best laid plans . . .

I didn't intend to pursue a completely different track this morning, but, deciding to follow a trail I spotted on one of my recent photos, the three amigos ended up doing a lot of bushwhacking through our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.

The added exertion turned out to be worth it because we got to see sights we'd not seen before, especially the giant Torrey Yucca in bloom that is pictured here.  Also bumped into a tiny Black-chinned Hummer that looked very young.

We added miles to our usual morning trek, but there wasn't a peep of protest from the Heelers today.
