Soaptree Yucca
|
Good hike this morning. We saw a jackrabbit in the same spot as the one we encountered yesterday, but it took off long before we got near.
No other critter meet-ups during the trek, though we saw and heard lots of birds. Birds only get the Heelers' attention when they're bouncing along the ground and appear as if they might be something of more significance.
I noticed a few Hedgehog Cacti budding today; and, of course, we had to visit our favorite flowering yucca. I did spot one other Torrey Yucca with a "redhead," but it's got a ways to go yet before blossoms begin to appear.
Weather was beautiful out there. I wore a lightweight vest, though I could have gone without it. We're headed for a high of 80F this afternoon.

I really like those 2 close-up images of the yucca flowers.
And Frio always seems to be smiling! They are such good doggies (most of the time).
