Crazy clouds this morning |
The entire good vibe of the outing might have come to a crashing end when we exited Right Branch Arroyo and stood on the hill while I photographed the Organ Mountains. Unbeknownst to us the guy and the Brittany Spaniels we encountered yesterday were just a few hundred feet down LDR-A. When his two spaniels saw us and started in our direction he called them off. I noticed then that they were also accompanied by a small brown dog, all canines off lead.
The lucky thing for me was the total obliviousness of the Heelers to the presence of the others. I was able to get Willow and Frio down to the CR-V without them noticing the presence of the other canines. Yipee!

I love the second photo of the Desert Sumac. Beautiful images today, Packrat (and the Heelers look so cute).
