Early Morning Rain

Virga or rain?
It rained a little before we left this morning, which pushed the humidity up.  We benefited from the cloud cover for most of the trek, though; and then the sun came out.  Fortunately a light breeze helped keep us cool.

Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our usual hike, spotting the Swainson's Hawk along our way; it was on its yucca perch during the entirety of our outing.  I tried to get some long-distance images of the raptor, but it's difficult from so far away.

We took plenty of breaks along the trail today even though the sun wasn't blazing down most of the time.  Nevertheless, it always feels good to get back to the comfort of our CR-V for the ride home.
