Good Fortune

Except otherwise captioned:  cloudy sky
We lucked out this morning even though the temperature at the start of our hike was 83F.  Cloud cover--sometimes heavy--kept the sun from beating us down.  A slight warm breeze helped with evaporative cooling.

We did our normal trek this morning despite Dr. K not feeling 100%; in fact, she took a Covid test when we got back home.  The result was negative.

We don't have much of a chance for rain today, though you couldn't arrive at that conclusion from monitoring the humidity which is quite high.  Who knows, perhaps a stray thunderstorm will blow through later this afternoon or early evening.
