Birds and Flowers

1st 3:  trident stick
It wasn't as cold when we started out this morning (51F), but a stiff wind made things interesting.  Fortunately the sun was shining brightly in an almost cloudless sky.

Our usual hike was graced by the presence of various critters, not the least of which was a Gambel's Quail and a cooperative Black-chinned Hummingbird who sat patiently on a branch while I photographed it.

Got some good exercise in today and benefited greatly from our desert's natural beauty.
