Rather Steamy

A volunteer on our property:  Hoary Tansyaster
We had rain overnight, and the atmosphere was quite moist this morning.  63F felt rather cool at the start of our trek, but once Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I got to experience the blazing sunshine our comfort level began to drop significantly.

We did our normal hike, stopping several times for shade; we were only able to water the Heelers once, though, because there were too many ants.  Ants come out after rain when the temperature is cooler.

It was good to have Dr. K back in the hiking group after she spent six days in San Francisco.

So nice to be back hiking with you and the Heelers. I really like the photo of the Hairy Tansyaster.
