Another Hot Go-Round

Baking in the desert
Despite the soaring temperatures there were quite a few outdoorspersons around Tortugas Mountain this morning.  Most of them were jogging up or down the mountain, so we didn't run into anybody.  We did a fairly long hike despite the heat, stopping several times for shade and water.  As we drove out on Geothermal Road we noticed (at least I did) that the university has made a lot of progress on the baricade at the western end of the road.  It won't be long now until they block it permanently.
