Another Hot Go-Round

Despite the soaring temperatures there were quite a few outdoorspersons around Tortugas Mountain this morning.  Most of them were jogging up or down the mountain, so we didn't run into anybody.  We did a fairly long hike despite the heat, stopping several times for shade and water.  As we drove out on Geothermal Road we noticed (at least I did) that the university has made a lot of progress on the baricade at the western end of the road.  It won't be long now until they block it permanently.

Hump Day Hawk

Tortugas and the Organs We got a fairly early start this morning so it wasn't hot at all:  62F.  The cloud cover helped the temperature ...
