Hotter Than Yesterday (But Not Hell)

The Beckster and I were on the trail pretty early for a 75-minute hike around Tortugas Mountain.  The respite from the heat we had yesterday is already a distant memory.  The naturalist Joseph Wood Krutch most loved his Sonoran Desert in the summertime.  He wrote:  "On the brightest and warmest days my desert is most itself because sunshine and warmth are the very essence of its character."  (The Voice of the Desert).  Personally, I like spring and fall best.
